Community Rules

Le Sillage is a place to talk about fragrance. The rules are simple: write about perfume, respect people, be honest.

We remove violations and tell the author which rule was broken. You can appeal a decision once — another person from the editors will review it. Details: “How We Moderate”.

01About fragrances, not people

You can criticise a fragrance, not a person. No insults, harassment, threats or hatred of people because of their origin, sex, religion, appearance or other personal characteristics.

02Other people’s lives are not for posting

Don’t post other people’s phone numbers, addresses, photos, messages or anything that could identify them.

03No spam or ads

No links, promo codes or shop advertising. Don’t repeat yourself or post off-topic.

04Nothing indecent or dangerous

No sexual content, nothing that harms children, no encouragement of self-harm or crime. We remove this at once and close the account.

05Be yourself

Don’t pretend to be another person, a brand or the Le Sillage editors. Your name: no insults, ads or brand names.

06Yours is yours, others’ only with permission

Don’t post other people’s texts or photos as your own.

07An honest catalogue

When you suggest a fragrance, write what you know: name, brand, notes.

08Flea Market: your own, genuine only

Sell bottles from your own collection — sealed, opened or decants; state the condition honestly. Not allowed: counterfeits, testers and samples marked “not for sale”, empty bottles and boxes. No contacts or links in a listing — you’ll talk in the app’s messages.

09No scams

Don’t ask for advance payment, don’t move people to other messengers or sites, don’t promise what isn’t there.
